Our History
Built in the 1960's, our building started out as a great place for roller skating in the South Hills. Through the years it transformed into a roller and foot hockey facility, known as Great Southern Roller Arena. In 2004, the remnants of Hurricane Ivan swept through Western PA, the facility was damaged in the flash flooding that hit Bridgeville, and the business was forced to close.
A local family saw great potential to revive hockey in town, and in 2008 the Bridgeville Rollerplex was born. For 15 years players of all ages found a terrific home again for inline hockey. In 2023 that generous family decided it was time to pass the torch...
The Bridgeville HockeyPlex takes the reigns in stride, adding Dek Hockey to the Programs.
We hope you can be a part of our Hockey Family!
